DANIEL-LUC FARRUGIA IS AN ASSOCIATE AT FENECH & FENECH ADVOCATES. HIS AREAS OF EXPERTISE INCLUDE MARITIME LAW; MARINE LITIGATION & SHIPPING DECARBONISATION.

Upon completing his Bachelor of Laws with Honours followed by a Master of Advocacy from the University of Malta, Daniel-Luc pursued his post-graduate studies in London where he read for an LL.M. in International Shipping Law at Queen Mary University of London. Throughout his time there he interned at the International Maritime Organization.

Daniel-Luc started his career by undertaking a work-placing in Holman Fenwick William’s shipping department based in the City of London wherein he contributed to both the wet and dry side to shipping.

He is the author of dissertations; ‘Commercial Leases under Maltese Law: Past and Future Challenges’ and ‘Shipping Decarbonisation: Multilayered Regulatory Frameworks heralding in a new Green Era’.

Daniel-Luc has been admitted to the Maltese bar in 2022 and is a member of the Chamber of Advocates, the Malta Maritime Law Association and the Franco-British Legal Society. He forms part of the publications committee at the Comité Maritime International.
