8.1.24

Thomas Bugeja has been appointed as Partner at Fenech & Fenech Advocates.

Thomas joined as a Trainee Associate in 2014 and was called to the bar in 2015, after having obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Doctor of Laws (LL.D) degrees from the University of Malta.

Having garnered experience in the Employment and TMT Departments, handling employment disputes, commercial advisory, telecommunications and data protection matters amongst others, he moved to the Corporate & Commercial Department in 2019. Here, he assists commercial clients in a variety of commercial and contentious matters, with a particular focus on cross-border commercial litigation, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgements, and competition law.

Today, Thomas is a trusted advisor to clients in the retail, gaming, telecommunications and transportation sectors in day-to-day general commercial and regulatory matters. With an LL.M in EU Competition Law from King’s College London, he also represents clients before the Maltese Courts and Tribunals, in EU and competition law matters, and before the Maltese Office for Competition in merger control and antitrust proceedings, investigations and litigation.

Congratulations to Thomas on this well-deserved achievement!
