The State Advocate has been ordered by the court to pay over €1 million in damages to the owner of a property in Marsa, who has been on a forced commercial lease for the past 60 years. This ruling adds to a series of judgments that have found the existing legislative mechanism to be in violation of the landlord’s fundamental property rights.
