Ann Fenech, Head of our Marine Litigation Department, was invited in her capacity as the President of the CMI – Comité Maritime International International to give a key note speech at the 125th Anniversary celebration of the German MLA held at the Rathaus, in Hamburg last Thursday 28th September.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Senator Anna Gallina, Minister for Justice for the Free and Hanseatic city of Hamburg and over 250 maritime lawyers from all over Germany. In her speech, Dr. Fenech focused on the role of the CMI in the drafting of conventions underlining the importance for German ship owners and ship financiers to ratify the Convention on the International Effects of Judicial Sales of Ships.
