Re-confirmed as Malta’s Leading Tax Law Firm

18 Nov 2016 – Fenech & Fenech has been re-confirmed as Malta’s leading tax law firm by World Tax 2017, International Tax Review’s directory to the leading tax advisory firms around the world.

Each edition rates the tax expertise offered in more than 55 jurisdictions globally, giving tax executives the most comprehensive information about the market for tax advice.  The publication is unique among directories as it classifies professional services, law firms and other tax advice providers together, rather than looking at them separately.

This is what World Tax 2017 had to say about our firm:

The tax department at Fenech & Fenech Advocates is led by Rosanne Bonnici.  The law firm is one of the oldest in Malta and is also one of the largest full-service firms.  The tax team advises on all areas of direct and indirect tax, personal tax and immigration issues.  The services it provides include estate planning structures, tax review of large M&A and asset finance transactions.  The team comprises 10 professionals and has exponentially grown its client and immigration practice over the past couple of years as well as its tax dispute practice area.

Bonnici has more than 23 years of experience in tax and finance and has emphasis on financial services, group structuring, domestic and international taxation, tax efficient cross-border structures, corporate law, trusts and foundations, and high net worth individuals.  She is also a founding member, past deputy president and fellow of the Malta Institute of Taxation.

The team comes highly recommended by clients and this year Bonnici engaged as a Malta national expert on the purposes of the Study on Structures of Aggressive Tax Planning and Indicators, commissioned by the European Commission and published as part of the EU’s anti-avoidance package in January 2016.

Fenech & Fenech’s Tax Department works closely with the Tax Compliance Team of its inhouse corporate services group, the Fenlex group, to provide its predominantly international clientele with a comprehensive tax advisory and compliance service.  The Tax Team, headed by Dr. Rosanne Bonnici, Tax Partner of the firm, advises on the whole spectrum of direct and indirect tax issues, including personal tax, as well as on immigration law.

For more information about the firm’s tax practice, please contact Dr. Rosanne Bonnici.
