Concessions

Concessions are contractual arrangements whereby public authorities entrust private operators to provide certain public services or works. The service or work is thus outsourced to the private sector, with the private operator being remunerated by exploiting the specific service or works. Popular examples include the construction and management of toll roads, car parks, marinas, shipyards and other public facilities. This type of public contract is becoming increasingly popular in Malta.

Fenech & Fenech Advocates’ team of lawyers is well versed in all areas of public procurement and able to assist clients in preparing and negotiating concession bids and contracts, as well as assisting with objections to concession awards.
