Nicole Carabott

Nicole is an Associate at Fenech & Fenech Advocates within the Marine Litigation Department.
Nicole joined the firm in 2024, during the final year of her Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree. Her undergraduate dissertation examined the need for an integrated legal framework governing States’ maritime search and rescue obligations in the context of irregular migration.
In 2025, following completion of the Master of Advocacy, she progressed to the role of Trainee within the same department. In this role, Nicole supports the team on a range of contentious matters, including vessel collisions, cargo and crew claims, and debt recovery. She is also involved in transactional work, assisting with general contractual matters and related issues. Her responsibilities include legal research, drafting and supporting client communications. She was admitted to the Maltese Bar in 2026.
Alongside her academic and professional experience, Nicole has remained engaged with industry developments, attending conferences and webinars on topics such as decarbonisation, maritime policy and regulation, and alternative dispute resolution.
