Associate

Marcus Ciantar is an Associate within the Litigation Department, specialising in property-related issues, including sales, leases, damages, contracts of work, real and personal rights, emphyteusis and servitudes. He is also developing expertise in the construction industry.

Marcus joined the firm as an Intern in the Litigation Department in 2020 and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws in 2021. His dissertation titled "A New Approach to the Disembarkation of Rescued Migrants? An Examination of Relocation Agreements Between EU Member States," reflects his interest in marine litigation and international law.

In 2022, he joined the TMT and Employment Departments as a Trainee, assisting in data protection and employment matters. After obtaining his warrant later that year, Marcus returned to his roots in litigation, thriving in the dynamic and client-facing environment that he finds most rewarding.

With a strong interest in criminal law, Marcus defends clients facing charges such as vilification, harassment, arbitrary exercise of pretended rights, bodily harm, theft, misuse of electronic devices, traffic violations and other crimes and contraventions.
