Lisa Buttigieg
Associate
Lisa is an Associate within the Civil Litigation Department at Fenech & Fenech Advocates.
Lisa joined the Fenech & Fenech Advocates in November 2024, during the final stages of her Bachelor of Laws. Her dissertation explored a critical analysis of the Insanity Plea in criminal cases, examining both its application and the potential of abuse of such plea.
In October 2025, Lisa was subsequently taken on as a Trainee within the same department, during which time she also completed her Master of Advocacy and successfully passed the Maltese Bar.
Whilst shadowing lawyers in court, Lisa has acquired wide-ranging exposure throughout both her internship and subsequent employment within the Civil Litigation Department, encompassing civil matters, family mediations and criminal matters. Her current work primarily focuses on legal drafting and research, including the drafting of agreements, legal letters, court acts, and applications, as well as assisting in proceedings before the Small Claims Tribunal.
In addition to her interest in property-related litigation and civil matters, Lisa has a strong passion for family law and is keen on further developing her practice in this area.
