Joseph Ghio

Partner
Joseph is a Partner at Fenech & Fenech Advocates where he co-heads the Financial Services and Aviation Departments. His practice spans financial services, aviation, banking, asset finance and mergers and acquisitions.

He graduated in 2001 as a Doctor of Laws from the Faculty of Laws of the University of Malta and holds a Masters of Arts in Financial Services from the same university. Joined the Firm in 2002 and was elected to Partnership in 2010.

He sits on the Council of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners of Malta. Joe’s other professional memberships include the Camera degli Avvocati of Malta, the International Bar Association, the European Air Law Association and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK. He lectures in Aviation Finance at the Doctorate degree within the Faculty of Laws of the University of Malta and in Securities Regulation within the MA (Financial Services) programme of the same university.

Joe is ranked as a leading Maltese practitioner in Financial Services and Corporate/Commercial by the Chambers and Partners, Legal 500 and IFLR directories.
