Diane Cutajar
Associate
Diane Cutajar is an Associate at Fenech & Fenech Advocates, working within the Ship Finance and Ship Registration departments.
Diane joined the firm in 2022 after earning a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Advocacy from the University of Malta. She initially gained experience in the firm's shipping departments, and further deepened her expertise in this area by completing an LL.M in International Maritime Law from the IMO International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI), graduating with distinction.
Within the Ship Registration department, Diane handles dry shipping matters, assisting vessel owners and charterers with the registration and maintenance of their vessels under the Malta flag.
Her practice also focuses on advising a broad range of clients, including international banks and financiers, with ship financing and restructuring transactions. This involves legal advice, drafting and registration of security interests, contract review, and the provision of legal opinions.
Diane is also a regular contributor to local and international journals, focusing on maritime law and related matters.
