Fenech & Fenech Marine Services Ltd. are truly proud to have assisted clients with the delivery and registration under the Malta flag of the newly built cruise liner “MSC GRANDIOSA”, the newest and largest ship in the MSC Cruises fleet. The addition of this new building vessel to the Malta flag is noteworthy not merely for its sheer size but more importantly because of its environmentally friendly ground-breaking technologies. The vessel has been fitted with a waste water treatment system which purifies waste water resulting in negligible impact on the environment with respect to its water discharges and includes a selective catalytic reduction system capable of changing emissions into harmless compounds. These innovative designs make it possible for the grand MSC Grandiosa to sail into sensitive waters such as the Baltic Sea and Alaska.

The Ship Finance team at Fenech & Fenech Advocates was also engaged by the financing banks to assist them with the documentation relating to the financing side of the vessel’s delivery in terms of Maltese law.
