Malta signs the Convention on the International effects of Judicial Sales of Ships.
Yesterday, Malta became the 20th state to sign the Convention on the International Effects of Judicial Sales of Ships in a special 2nd signing ceremony of the Convention held in Malta, at Verdala Castle.
This was considered as an exceptional event for the Treaty Book to leave New York again for a 2nd signing ceremony after the first signing ceremony was held in Beijing in September 2023. Malta was joined by Croatia, Cyprus, Spain, Italy, Côte d’Ivoire and Antigua and Barbuda.
Ann Fenech, Head of the Marine Litigation Department was the CMI co-ordinator for the Project at UNCITRAL and gave a Keynote Address at yesterday’s event as the President of the CMI.
