Alison Vassallo, Head of our Yachting Department, was recently invited by the Legal Team within Benetti/Azimut Benetti to participate in the 2026 Legal Symposium held in the picturesque city of Florence, Italy.

This year’s symposium, which was attended by over 60 legal professionals hailing from multiple jurisdictions, focused on pressing topics including the implications of the new AML rules particularly as they effect shipyards which will come into force as from next year and the management of issues that may arise in connection with brokerage commissions.

The participants were provided with a unique opportunity of touring a vast cross section of Benetti’s portfolio of yachts at its Livorno facilities, at different stages of build, together with viewing the impressive Lusben facilities which can accommodate yachts up to 70 metres in length.
