The latest addition to the MSC Cruises’ fleet, the “MSC SEAVIEW”, completed her maiden voyage and sailed majestically into the Grand Harbour on the 13thJune 2018 proudly hoisting the Maltese ensign. Built at Monfalcone’s FINCANTIERI’S Shipyard, she is the second ship of the company’s Seaside Class to have been delivered and registered under the Malta flag with the assistance of Fenech & Fenech Marine Services Ltd.
With a gross tonnage of 163,516 tons and a guest capacity of 5,179, the mega cruise ship MSC SEAVIEW is the latest quality tonnage to have been registered under the Malta flag. Dr. Ann Fenech and Ms. Rowena Grima were invited to attend the Crest Exchange Ceremony which took place on-board the vessel in the presence of the Prime Minister Dr. Joseph Muscat, the Minister responsible for Transport Dr. Ian Borg and Minister for Tourism Dr. Konrad Mizzi, top officials of MSC Cruises and of course Capt. Pier Paolo Scala, the Master of the vessel, who subsequently hosted his guests to an exquisite luncheon on-board.
