Ann Fenech who heads the marine litigation department was the key note speaker on the 2^nd day of the 3^rd  International Scientific Conference on Maritime Law  that was held on the 8^th and 9^th April in Split Croatia.

The conference was organised by the Faculty of Law of the University of Split and the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts of Zagreb. Ann Fenech spoke about giving international effect to judicial sale of ships.

The 2 day conference  dealt with various aspects of maritime law including P & I insurance, shipbuilding contracts,  rights of the seafarers, carriage of goods by sea, pollution, search and rescue, the development of maritime law and  state aid.
