Partner and Head of our Marine Litigation Department, Ann Fenech, delivered a webinar examining the development of the United Nations Convention on the International Effects of Judicial Sales of Ships, from its early foundations through to its coming into force last week. The session explored the practical issues the Convention is designed to address, with particular focus on its role in enhancing certainty and confidence for practically all stakeholders involved from shipowners to financiers to creditors to registries, and also courts.

The webinar attracted 76 participants from a broad international audience, reflecting the strong international interest in the Convention and its importance to the maritime community. The session also prompted an engaging dialogue, with numerous questions posed by participants.
