Ann Fenech addresses the Jamaican Bar Association

3.2.25

This week, Ann Fenech, head of our marine litigation department, received an invitation from Mr. Bertrand Smith, Director General of the Jamaican Maritime Authority, to hold a series of meetings with members of Jamaica’s maritime community. These included maritime law practitioners, the faculty of law at the University of the West Indies, and Admiralty judges. The purpose of these meetings was to explain the benefits of, and encourage Jamaica to sign and ratify, the Convention on the International Effects of Judicial Sales of Ships. She was invited in her capacity as the President of the Comité Maritime International.

On Thursday, Dr. Fenech delivered a lecture titled “From Ship Arrest to Sale” at the invitation of the Jamaican Bar Association, the Jamaican Maritime Authority, and the Norman Manley School of Law.
