Martina Caruana receives Queen Young Leader’s award at Buckingham Palace

Martina Caruana, one of our employees received the Queen’s Young Leader Award for her work in international law and relations, transitional justice and combating gender-based violence.  The Queen’s Young Leader Award recognises and celebrates exceptional people aged 18-29 from across the Commonwealth, who are taking the lead in their communities and using their skills to transform lives. As a recipient of this award, Martina had private meetings with British Prime Minister Theresa May at 10 Downing Street, with former Prime Minister Sir John Major, and Secretary-General of the Commonwealth the Honourable Patricia Scotland.

The award ceremony took place on the 26th of June at Buckingham Palace where she received her medal from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. After the awards ceremony, the Queen hosted a reception in honour of the recipients at the Palace.
