On the 10th October the MFSA published a document entitled ‘Virtual Financial Assets Framework Frequently Asked Questions’. This document aims to answer some of the pertinent questions that one may have surrounding the Maltese legislative framework with a view of enhancing the level of understanding afforded to all interest parties. Particularly, to help bridge the gap between the Authority and any potential licensees and applicants. The document answers some basic questions such as “what is a VFA?”, whilst also tackling other questions relating to topics that were not originally addressed within the legislative framework, such as stable coins.
