Fenech & Fenech Advocates held its first Webinar in a series of 4 Webinars in the Fenech & Fenech Advocates Maritime Series – Talks with the Industry.
This first Webinar was on the effect of Brexit on Maritime Claims. We were very pleased to welcome guest speakers Professor Charles Debattista, Head of 36 Stone who spoke on Arbitrations, Security Measures and Enforcement of EU Judgements in the UK, Mr. Neil Gibbons from Steamship Mutual who dealt with The Effect of Brexit on P & I and Mr. Alex Montebello, CEO of Malta Freeport who spoke on Brexit and Freeport Operations.
Dr. Adrian Attard and Dr. Peter Grima dealt with Enforcement of English Judgements in Malta and Brexit and the Malta Flag respectively whilst Dr. Ann Fenech Head of the Marine Litigation Department gave a short introduction and Dr. Michael Agius moderated the event. This series of Webinars will replace our Maritime Conference, normally a full day event held at the Chamber of Commerce, something we were unable to do last year and this year due to Covid restrictions. The series of Webinars is also part of our celebrations, this year being the 130th Anniversary of Fenech & Fenech Advocates.
The event attracted 40 participants from various countries all over the world. View the full Webinar here: https://bit.ly/3vbCmDK
The next Webinar will be dedicated to the Cruise line industry and we will be announcing the date shortly.
