The Government has published a Consultation Document on Malta’s Labour Migration Policy which policy focuses on the application of the Labour Market Test Needs when employing third country nationals in Malta, amongst other matters.

The Policy seeks to introduce stricter employer eligibility criteria for persons wishing to employ third country nationals, which criteria will be based on retention and stability of staff, amongst other factors.

Stakeholders have until 9th February 2025 to provide feedback to the Consultation Document which may be accessed here.
