The following certificates will expire on the 20th of February 2019:
– Certificate of Insurance or other financial security in respect of Civil Liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage;
– Certificate of Insurance or other financial security in respect of Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage;
– Certificate of Insurance or other financial security in respect of Liability for the removal of wrecks and;
– Certificate of Insurance or other financial security in respect of Liability for the death of and personal injury to passengers (War and Non-War).
Fenech & Fenech Marine Services Ltd. remain at your service to file the necessary blue cards covering the period February 2019 – February 2020, to enable the issuance of the respective abovementioned certificates as applicable.
In addition, the Maltese Ships Registry also makes provision for foreign flagged vessels that are not party to any of the following IMO Conventions, to obtain the requisite insurance certificates under the Malta flag:
– International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage (CLC), 1969 and the 1992 Protocol to the International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage (FUND 1992);
– Athens Convention relating to the Carriage of Passengers and their Luggage by Sea (PAL), 1974;
– International Convention on Civil Liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage 2001;
– Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks, 2007.
