Dr Alison Vassallo who heads our Yachting Department chaired the “VAT Update” panel during the 6th Opportunities in Superyachts Conference held in Malta on the 22nd March. The session covered the recent developments relating to the Maltese VAT leasing structure and salient considerations relating to VAT and social security payments in Italy, France, Greece, Croatia and Montenegro.
Alison was also invited to speak during a second panel held in the afternoon relating to Brexit and its effects on the yachting industry. During this session she highlighted some of the main conclusions arising from an industry survey spearheaded by the Yachting Services Trade Section within the Malta Chamber of Commerce which she chairs and which will be launched in the coming weeks.
