Fenech and Fenech Advocates is proud to have supported as Academic Partners for the 4th year running the Maritime Law summer school organised by ELSA held between the 20th and 24th August with the structuring of the Academic Programme and with the delivery of lectures throughout the week to the 55 participants coming from all over Europe.
Ann Fenech kicked off the academic programme with the delivery of a lecture on Salvage, Towage and Collisions. This was followed by the delivery of lectures on Thursday by Alison Vassallo on Yachting in Malta and by Rowena Grima on Ship Registration. The last day of the school consisted of a Practical Session where students were tested by means of the delivery of presentations covering the various topics that were taught during the week. Adrian Attard from our Marine Litigation Department judged the various groups and selected the team that delivered the best presentation as a winner. A Closing Ceremony was held in the afternoon which was addressed by Alison Vassallo and during which certificates of attendance were handed out to the students by Fenech and Fenech.
All in all a busy and rewarding week for the firm and for the students. We are already looking forward to next year’s edition!
