Ann Fenech, Vice President of the CMI, President of the MMLA and Managing Partner was once again invited to deliver lectures at the International Maritime Law Institute on the Role of the Maritime Law Practitioner.

During these practical lectures, Dr. Fenech used Malta as the 360 degree maritime jurisdiction to explain the role of a maritime lawyer in a cross section of maritime scenarios. She used real footage, videos and photographs to share experiences in salvage, collisions, towage, pilotage, carriage of goods and trans-shipment, ship repair, the cruising industry, oil storage and bunkering. She also took the students through the dynamics and anatomy of numerous litigation cases by discussing arrest of ships, security measures, title to sue, limitation of liability and a host of other matters as well as discussing flagging, registration of mortgages and their protection under Maltese law.
